Discover Allariz
For those looking to soak up some sunshine and get active outdoors, there are plenty of activities to choose from. Visitors can go hiking or biking through some breathtaking scenery in the nearby mountains or take part in one of the many water sports activities such as kayaking or canoeing on the river Arnoia. There's also an array of cultural events taking place throughout the year such as traditional dance performances and music festivals.
Two must-see attractions while visiting Allariz are Torre de San Miguel which was once an important military fortress built by King Alfonso IX during his campaign to consolidate royal power over Galicia; and 'A Ponte Vella' which is a bridge over river Arnoia dating back to 1605-1607 designed by famous Spanish architect Diego de Siloe.
