North Kordofan is a region in the country of Sudan located in the northern part of the country. It lies between Khartoum state and South Kordofan and is home to many small cities, such as Umm Ruwaba, Al-Obeid, Kadogli, and El Obeid. The capital city is El Obeid which also serves as a commercial hub for North Kordofan.
