Visit Red Sea

The Red Sea of Sudan is an impressive site that should not be missed. Located in Northeast Africa, the Red Sea encompasses more than 900 miles of coastline and incredible marine life. It's known for its stunning coral reefs, a large population of tropical fish, and its many shipwrecks.

One popular tourist destination along the Red Sea is Port Sudan, home to some fascinating historical sites such as Pharaoh Island and Sinkat Fortress. The port also offers excellent opportunities for swimming and beach activities, while nearby cities like Kassala offer lively nightlife and cultural attractions.

The history of the Red Sea is just as interesting as its present day offerings. For centuries it has been an important trade route between Egypt and East Africa, even playing a role in Alexander the Great's ancient conquests. More recently it was used by European powers during WWI to travel from Egypt to Italy by sea.
