Visit South Kordofan

South Kordofan is a state in Sudan located at the heart of the Nubian Desert. The region is home to diverse cultures and traditions, and it has a rich history being part of the Nile Valley's civilizations.

The capital city, Kadugli, offers a variety of cultural attractions, such as museums and monuments which tell tales of its past. A fun tourist spot is the hot springs near Kadugli in El Obeid City where you can soak up some natural relaxation.

A great place for wildlife-lovers is Dinder National Park which consists mostly of grassy plains and four large lakes that are home to species like ostrich, antelopes and lions. You can also find plenty of bird species here!

South Kordofan also boasts an interesting historical fact - it was one of few places on Earth that hosted an independent kingdom before British colonization in 1898; it served as the homeland for black settlers who were brought by Ottoman forces from Eastern Africa during their reign in North Sudan (1517-1821).
