Visit Al Ḩasakah
Al Hasakah is a province located in the eastern region of Syria. It is home to an array of cultural and ethnic diversity, with many of its inhabitants being Kurds, Arabs, Armenians and Assyrians. The provincial capital is Al-Hasakah city which was originally known as Qaraqosh during the Ottoman Empire period.
The region has a wealth of historical sites to explore such as Dayr az-Zawr Castle which dates back to the 11th century and Tell Halaf archeological site from around 10,000 BCE.
