Visit Changhua


Changhua is a province located in the centre of Taiwan. It has an area of 4,428 square kilometers with a population of about 1.4 million people. Changhua boasts lush green plains and winding rivers and is especially known for its production of rice, pomelos, sugar cane as well as tea and other agricultural products.

The two most popular tourist spots in Changhua are the Lukang Old Street and Bagua Mountain National Scenic Area. The Lukang Old Street is perfect for visitors looking to explore its historical sites such as temples, traditional markets or the famous Longshan Temple while the Bagua Mountain National Scenic Area offers nature lovers breathtaking views from atop 3 observation decks at different elevations as well as many camping grounds and hiking trails for adventurers to get their fix of outdoor activities.

An interesting historical fact about Changhua is that it was originally called Tan Te Ching because it was home to large populations of rabbit-like animals known locally as "tan te" which means "rabbit's teeth" in Chinese language!
