Visit Kinmen


Kinmen is an outlying island province located off the coast of mainland China and Taiwan. It has a unique history due to its proximity to China, making it a popular tourist destination.

The Kinmen region offers visitors breathtaking landscapes from its coastline of rocky outcrops, emerald hills crowned with Chinese fortresses, and quaint villages. A key historical event occurred here in 1958 when 'Artillery Battle on August 23rd' took place between Taiwan's military forces and People's Liberation Army troops across Kinmen Island was fought over three days. This battle marks an important milestone for both Taiwanese and Chinese populations as it symbolizes peace between both sides.
