Visit Penghu County

Penghu County is an archipelago of 64 islands located in the Taiwan Strait, off the coast of mainland China. It has a population of around 104,000 and is known for its stunning scenery and rich cultural heritage.

One must-see attraction in Penghu County is the Penghu Great Bridge, which connects Qimei Island to Baisha Island and offers spectacular views of both landmasses. Another popular sightseeing spot is Tongpan Mountain, which offers excellent hiking trails with breathtaking views.

It's not just natural beauty that makes Penghu county special though - it also has a wealth of historical attractions to explore. During the Japanese occupation in 1895-1945, many Chinese immigrants were sent here as laborers building ports and railways on behalf of Japanese companies. A visit to these sites provides an interesting insight into this period of Taiwanese history.
