Visit Taoyuan

Taoyuan is a city located in the northern part of Taiwan, just south of Taipei. It has a population of 2.2 million, making it the third most populous city in Taiwan. Taoyuan is known for its scenic views, beautiful parks, and cultural attractions. Tourists come to visit the Longtan Lake Park which is surrounded by lush green mountains and features an artificial lake created by damming up the Longtan River, or Daxi Old Street which has been preserved as a historical area featuring traditional Taiwanese architecture and street food.

Taoyuan also has an interesting history as it was once home to military airbases during World War II from 1939-1945 when Japan occupied Taiwan during that period. Today, many sites related to this history remain including old airstrips and bunkers that can be visited to learn more about this period of time in Taoyuan's past.
