The Manyara Region of Tanzania is a special destination for tourists, showcasing the remarkable natural beauty and unique African culture of the country. Located in the northern part of Tanzania, it extends from Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro Crater and Mount Kilimanjaro. This beautiful region offers stunning landscapes, with grassy plains and acacia forests providing a home for plenty of wildlife. Besides safaris that are on offer here, visitors can also enjoy visiting local cultures such as the Masai tribe who live in this area.

For those looking for some adventure, there are two must-see attractions: Lake Manyara National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The former is known for its hundreds of bird species as well as its tree-climbing lions while the latter is home to one of Africa's largest concentration of game animals including black rhinos and wildebeests.

Another interesting fact about this region is that it was once part of German East Africa during WWI when General Paul von Lettow-Vorbeck fought several battles against British colonial forces here until 1918 when he eventually surrendered in Zambia months after Germany declared defeat in Europe.
