Visit Tanga

The Tanga Region of Tanzania is located in the northeast corner of the country, and there are numerous sites to explore within this area. Tourist attractions include Pangani Beach with its beautiful coral reefs and stunning scenery, as well as the Usambara Mountains where visitors can enjoy panoramic views. Some interesting historical sites to visit include Gazi Ruins, which were destroyed by a Portuguese attack during the 18th century and now consist of old tombs and remains from earlier African civilizations. Additionally, the Old Fort at Tanga makes for an interesting sightseeing opportunity since it was built in 1890 by Germans as part of a railway station on their way to Rwanda. For those interested in traditional culture, a visit to Kigongo Village allows visitors to learn about local customs and see traditional dances performed on special occasions.
