Visit Lopburi

The ancient city of Lopburi is located in central Thailand and is renowned for its rich history and culture. It was once the capital of the powerful Khmer Empire, and its ruins are still visible today. The most popular attractions in Lopburi include the Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat, which houses a very important Buddhist relic; Prang Sam Yot, a three-tiered prang (temple tower) complex; and Phra Karn Temple, with its stunning murals depicting scenes from Hindu mythology. For those looking to experience something more active, there are plenty of outdoor activities such as cycling or bird watching around the nearby forests that surround the city.

An interesting fact about Lopburi is that it has an abundance of monkeys which can often be seen wandering throughout the streets! The locals have even taken to feeding these mischievous primates on certain occasions. Tourists who visit can also enjoy sampling some of Lopburi's delicious local cuisine, such as mango salads and noodle dishes. With so much to see and do in this vibrant city, it's no wonder why it's become one of Thailand's hottest tourist destinations!
