In 1238 Siam (the former name for Thailand) became an official kingdom following years of tribal wars between various factions. Since then it has transformed into one of Asia's most popular travel destinations with something for everyone including beaches, nightlife, ancient ruins and bustling cities like Bangkok full of modern amenities for tourists to enjoy!
