Visit ʻEua

`Eua is an island and province of Tonga, located to the south of the main island of Tongatapu. It's known for its beautiful beaches, lush landscape and intriguing culture.

Popular tourist attractions in `Eua include exploring numerous caves on the island, such as Ha'atafu Cave which features a freshwater pool surrounded by mangroves. Those looking to relax can take a dip in 'Oneonepotue or 'Ahau Beach, both of which offer white sandy shores and crystal clear waters.

The region has played an important role in Tongan history since ancient times as settlers from Samoa began to arrive around 1200 AD and established villages on the island. In more recent history, during World War II British Forces built bunkers at Kolo Island to protect against Japanese attacks.
