Visit Manouba Governorate


Manouba Governorate is a province located in the northwest corner of Tunisia. It is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea and Algeria. This region is known for its stunning landscape, with many mountains and hills spread throughout, as well as lush vegetation and beaches along the coast. Manouba also has a rich cultural history dating back centuries.

One interesting tourist spot to visit in Manouba is The Borjine Mosque, one of the oldest mosques in all of Tunisia which was built in 1694. Another popular attraction is Haffouz Lake which offers a variety of activities such as water-skiing, sailing, fishing and bird watching.

An interesting historical fact about this region is that it was once part of Roman-ruled Africa and later became part of Byzantine Empire until it eventually joined modern day Tunisia after independence from France in 1956.
