Dasoguz Region is located in northern Turkmenistan and is home to one of the country's most beautiful landscapes. It borders Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and the Caspian Sea. The region's capital city of Dasoguz has a population of more than 300,000 people and offers cultural attractions such as museums, theaters, monuments and gardens.

The area has a long history that dates back to ancient times with archaeological sites from various periods including the Bronze Age. One popular tourist attraction is the ruins of Old Nisa - an ancient city dating back over 2000 years ago that was once the capital of Parthia. Visitors can explore the remains which include walls, towers and tombs all surrounded by stunning mountain scenery.

Dasoguz Region also offers plenty of nature-based activities for tourists - hiking trails in Altyn Asyr National Park or bird watching on Lake Sarykamysh being just two options for those who prefer a more active vacation experience. For something truly unique visitors can take part in camel races which are held regularly at Dasoguz Hippodrome - an event not to be missed!
