Visit Lviv Oblast


Lviv Oblast is a province located in the western part of Ukraine. It is bordered by the Carpathian Mountains and has a diverse landscape that includes high-altitude mountains, rolling hills, deep valleys and wide plains. The population of Lviv Oblast is mainly Ukrainian with some ethnic minorities including Poles, Hungarians and Roma people.

Another must-see destination is Synevyr National Park; it offers beautiful views of lakes, forests and cascading waterfalls.

An interesting fact about Lviv Oblast is that it was once part of the Kingdom of Galicia-Volhynia (12th -14th century). This kingdom played an important role in medieval European history as it served as an important commercial hub connecting Eastern Europe to Western Europe by land routes.
