Visit Mykolaiv Oblast

Mykolaiv Oblast is a region in Ukraine located along the Black Sea coast. It has a rich history, dating back to 1788 when it was established as an administrative area of the Russian Empire. The region is home to several tourist attractions, including Lake Askania-Nova and the Mykolaiv Zoo.

Lake Askania-Nova is a nature reserve and national park known for its unique steppe habitats, which provide homes to many rare species of birds and other animals. There are also many recreational activities available at the lake, such as boating and fishing.

The Mykolaiv Zoo is home to more than 860 species of animals from all over the world, such as tigers, lions, elephants and giraffes. Visitors can explore educational exhibits featuring different wildlife species or take part in interactive workshops on animal conservation.

In addition to these attractions, Mykolaiv Oblast has an interesting historical fact - it was once home to one of Europe's oldest cities: Ochakiv (also known as Anapa). Today Ochakiv remains a bustling port city with cultural attractions including old churches and castles that draw visitors from all over Ukraine each year.
