Visit Odessa Oblast


The Odessa Oblast region of Ukraine is situated in the south of the country, on the Black Sea coast. It is a unique combination of beautiful sandy beaches, stunning architecture and fascinating culture. Tourists flock to Odessa Oblast for its many attractions such as Deribasivska Street, an iconic pedestrian street in the heart of Odessa, filled with charming shops and cafes; or Privoz Market, one of the largest outdoor markets in Europe where visitors can find produce from all over Ukraine.

For those interested in history and culture there are numerous landmarks to visit such as Potemkin Palace, a baroque palace built between 1795-1803; or Uspensky Cathedral which was built by Tsar Alexander I in 1806. Additionally an interesting historical fact about this region is that it was one of the first places that Jews were allowed to settle after Catherine The Great issued her manifesto granting Jewish people permission to live outside certain restricted areas.
