Visit Volyn Oblast


Volyn Oblast is a province in northwest Ukraine. It borders Poland to the north, Rivne Oblast to the east, Zhytomyr Oblast to the south, and Lviv and Ternopil regions on its eastern side. There are many interesting places to visit in Volyn Oblast such as Lutsk Castle which was constructed in 14th century AD and has an incredible collection of antique weapons and armors. Another tourist attraction is the Potocki Palace that was built at the start of 19th century by Count Stanislaw Potocki who was also a great collector of paintings and sculptures from all over Europe.

For those interested in history, Volyn Oblast is full of interesting tales about World War II. It hosted numerous battles between Soviet Union forces against Nazi Germany's Wehrmacht units during 1941-1944 periods which makes it one of the most important historical sites for visitors interested in military history. Overall, Volyn Oblast offers wonderful opportunities for sightseeing, exploration and learning about Ukraine's fascinating past.
