Visit Water Island

Water Island is a part of the United States Virgin Islands located between St. Thomas and St. John, two of the three main islands in this Caribbean archipelago. With a population of under 200 people, it is the smallest inhabited island in the USVI's. Water Island offers a peaceful retreat away from busy tourist spots for those looking to enjoy stunning nature scenery, local attractions, and delicious cuisine found in the local restaurants.

Visitors can take advantage of Honeymoon Beach, an idyllic spot for swimming and sunbathing right next to Lindquist Beach on St. Thomas' north side. Another must-see attraction is Fort Segarra Trails - an abandoned US Army base built during World War II with plenty of historical artifacts to explore including batteries and underground tunnels!

An interesting historical fact about Water Island is that it used to be owned by Danish plantation owner Jorgen Knudsen who left his mark by naming many landmarks on the island after his family members such as Pat's Cross Hill named after his wife Patricia or Flag Bay named after his daughter Flaglinae Knudsen Hoegh who was born on nearby Hassel Island back in 1877 despite Danish tradition that forbid her marriage due to class differences with her husband Peter Hoegh who she married against her father's wishes!.
