The city also has two public parks where visitors can enjoy playing golf at Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Limestone Springs or going on an adventure walk along the trails provided by one of several nature preserves in the area.
For those looking for an educational experience while visiting Calera they should check out Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park which features Civil War history as well as historic structures from a former iron plantation community built over 100 years ago.
