Calera is a city located in Shelby County, Alabama, United States. It has a population of about 8,400 people and is surrounded by the lush greenery of Shelby County. Calera is known for its hospitality and southern charm. It offers visitors plenty of outdoor activities such as golfing, fishing and camping in the nearby Unclaimed National Forest.
