Denali National Park and Preserve is a must-see destination for anyone visiting Healy. Located in the heart of Alaska, it offers stunning views of the rugged Alaskan terrain and wildlife. The highest mountain peak in all of North America, Mount Denali (formerly known as Mt. McKinley), towers over this vast national park. Visitors can hike along one of its many trails to get a unique look at its diverse landscapes, from majestic glaciers to rolling tundra plains.
One of the most popular activities at Denali National Park is wildlife viewing - visitors are likely to spot caribou, moose, grizzly bears, wolves, Dall sheep and coyotes amongst other Alaskan animals. For an even closer look, take a guided tour through Kantishna - which will provide panoramic views while uncovering some of the region’s most spectacular landscape features such as boreal forests and valleys filled with wildflowers!
