The Pima Air & Space Museum in Tucson, Arizona showcases over 300 aircraft and spacecraft on 80 acres of land. It is one of the largest non-government funded aerospace museums in the United States with a rich collection of military, commercial, civil and experimental aircraft. The museum allows visitors to explore aviation history through interactive displays and walk up tours. One of the highlights includes a B-17 bomber, part of an original squadron that saw action during WW2. Visitors can also admire the SR71 Blackbird that holds numerous world speed records for jet powered aircraft or take a look at Apollo Capsules used for man’s first journey to space. The museum also organizes immersive educational programs as well as exciting events throughout the year.
