Park half day

Saguaro National Park is an American national park in Pima County, southeastern Arizona. The 92,000-acre (37,000 ha) park consists of two separate areas—the Tucson Mountain District (TMD) about 10 miles (16 km) west of the city of Tucson and the Rincon Mountain District (RMD) about 10 miles (16 km) east of the city—that preserve Sonoran Desert landscapes, fauna, and flora, including the giant saguaro cactus.

Plan your visit

  1. Make sure to wear sunscreen and a hat as the park gets very hot during the summer months.
  2. Bring plenty of water, especially if you plan to hike in the desert heat.
  3. Be mindful of cacti - they may look cute but can give an unpleasant surprise when touched
  4. Visit early in the morning or late afternoon as it gets very bright and hot during midday hours
  5. Take lots of pictures! Saguaro National Park boasts some amazing views that are perfect for capturing memories
