The Hollywood Sign is an American landmark and cultural icon overlooking Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. It is situated on Mount Lee, in the Hollywood Hills area of the Santa Monica Mountains.
Plan your visit
- Arrive early in the morning to avoid overcrowding and busy traffic.
- Make sure to stay on designated pathways and trails when exploring the area, as some areas are closed off for protection reasons.
- Bring sunscreen and a hat or other sun protection device, as this is a very exposed area that can be quite hot during summer months.
- Be aware of wildlife while around the Hollywood Sign area - keep any food stored away safely so that you do not attract animals such as rodents or coyotes into your location accidentally!
- Take plenty of pictures - even better if you get creative with your shots like pointing the camera up towards the sky from behind one of Los Angeles’ many iconic landmarks for a perfect picture!
