Park, Nature half day

12600 N Torrey Pines Rd, La Jolla, CA 92037

Torrey Pines State Reserve is an incredible park located in the city of San Diego, United States. Famed for its steep cliffs, deep canyons, and stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, this reserve is a must-see destination. Nature lovers will be amazed at the abundant wildlife on display here; from hawks to falcons to bobcats and more, it’s a paradise for naturalists. Visitors can explore miles of trails through Torrey Pines State Reserve’s lush pine forests and green hillsides as well as take in breathtaking coastal vistas along its beaches. Two notable sights within the park are Parry Grove, which features some of the oldest trees in San Diego County, and Guy Fleming Trail for beautiful oceanfront views.

Plan your visit

  1. Make sure to wear appropriate clothing and bring plenty of sunscreen if visiting during the summer months, as the sun can be very strong near the shoreline.

  2. Bring a picnic lunch or snacks to enjoy along one of the many scenic trails located throughout Torrey Pines State Reserve.

  3. Be aware that there are quicksand areas in some parts of Torrey Pines State Reserve, so use caution when exploring these areas.

  4. Stay on designated trails and pathways at all times - do not venture off-trail for your safety and for protecting natural habitats found within the reserve boundaries.

  5. Watch out for protected species such as rare wildflowers, hawks, foxes, lizards and other animals that live within this special area; be sure to keep your distance from them!

  6. Check local tide schedules before you go - low tides allow visitors access to additional beachfront areas that may not otherwise be accessible during higher tides periods! 7 . Make sure to pick up after yourself; leave no trace behind when leaving the park grounds!

8 . Purchase a parking pass or day use permits before entering into any part of Torrey Pines State
