Santa Cruz is a coastal city located along the northern end of Monterey Bay in California, United States. It has a population of 63,000 and is known for its stunning beaches, lush redwood forests, and local culture. Santa Cruz has been a popular vacation spot since the late 1800s when the Boardwalk amusement park opened up along with several luxurious beachfront hotels.

There's plenty to see and do while visiting Santa Cruz. The centerpiece of the city is the iconic Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk which features an array of family-friendly rides, games, miniature golf courses, restaurants and arcades. Another must-see attraction are the picturesque redwood groves found in nearby Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park & Natural Bridges State Park where one can go hiking or camping amongst centuries old trees. Finally, no trip to Santa Cruz would be complete without savoring some locally caught seafood from one of many seaside restaurants that line the wharf area.
