The Lanai region of the United States is a small archipelago located in Hawaii. It is home to one of the most diverse wildlife and plant communities in the Pacific. The lush jungles, beaches, and coral reefs provide an amazing backdrop for some of the best recreational activities on the islands.

Tourists visiting Lanai will be able to explore attractions like Garden of Gods - an ancient Hawaiian heiau surrounded by lush palms and eucalyptus trees or Kaiolohia Beach also known as Shipwreck Beach for its shipwreck remains from World War II.

Lanai has a long history stretching back thousands of years with settlements dating from prehistoric times. In 1853 King Kamehameha III annexed it into his kingdom making it his private hunting preserve until 1888 when he leased it to George Schumann who famously planted thousands of pine trees all over the island creating what would become known as 'Pineapple Island'.
