Iao Valley State Monument is located in the city of Wailuku, Hawaii. This natural wonder contains thousands of years’ worth of history and stunning scenery. It is a lush oasis with verdant rainforest vegetation and towering green peaks, which were formed by thousands of years of erosion. Visitors can explore Iao’s valleys, streams and trails, discovering ancient Hawaiian artifacts along the way. The main attractions here are the Iao Needle monolith and Kukaemoku peak - both towers 600 feet above sea level. Visitors can enjoy spectacular views from the top or take pictures from below; either way it’s an unforgettable experience!
