Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area lies in Nevada’s Mojave Desert. It’s known for geological features such as towering red sandstone peaks and the Keystone Thrust Fault, as well as Native American petroglyphs. Panoramic viewing spots dot the 13-mile Scenic Drive. The sheltered Ice Box Canyon has seasonal waterfalls. To the south, Spring Mountain Ranch State Park features historic buildings and hiking trails.

Plan your visit

For an unforgettable visit to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, plan ahead! Arrive early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid crowds. Bring plenty of water and snacks as there is no food or drink allowed on the trails. Wear appropriate clothing - closed-toed shoes and a hat are musts! Remember to stay on marked trails, respect wildlife, and pick up after yourself. Be sure to bring your camera too; you won’t want to miss out on capturing all of the stunning views throughout this incredible conservation area!
