Rainbow Vista

Rainbow Vista is an easy-moderate out-and-back 1.0 mile (1.6 km) hike. The surface of the trail is not firm and mostly sandy, but you will be rewarded by a spectacular view at the end of the trail.
Plan your visit
Bring plenty of water and wear sunscreen: The sun in Moapa Valley can be quite intense, so it’s important to bring lots of water to stay hydrated and wear plenty of sunscreen when visiting Rainbow Vista.
Wear comfortable shoes: You’ll likely want to explore the area around Rainbow Vista, so make sure you wear comfortable shoes that will support your feet through long walking distances, as well as provide good traction on dry or sandy surfaces.
Pack a picnic lunch or snacks: While there aren’t any services located nearby at Rainbow Vista, it is still a great spot for a picnic lunch or snack with fantastic views!
Watch out for wildlife: As with any outdoor area, you should watch out for wildlife such as lizards and snakes while exploring the area near Rainbow Vista. If you keep an eye out, you might even get lucky and see some local bighorn sheep!
Leave no trace behind: When leaving Rainbow Vista remember to leave nothing but your footprints! Take all trash with you when leaving the park to help keep this beautiful landscape pristine for future visitors’ enjoyment!
