Whitney is a city located in Hill County, Texas, United States. It lies approximately 20 miles from Waco and has a population of around 3,000 people. Whitney's history dates back to the 1850s when it was founded by Robert A. Crooks and named after his hometown of Whitney Point, New York.

The area is known for its stunning natural beauty, with rolling hills and lush green valleys as far as the eye can see. Visitors can enjoy exploring Whitney Lake and Bosque River frontage or visit nearby Fort Fisher Park which features fishing piers, picnic areas and plenty of room for outdoor recreation activities.
