The Spire, also known as Long Dong Silver, is a striking geological formation located in Hanksville, Utah, United States. This towering sandstone column, with its unique elongated shape, is a popular attraction for rock climbers and nature enthusiasts alike. It sits within the impressive landscape of the Robbers Roost area, offering stunning panoramic views that change dramatically with the shifting sunlight throughout the day.

While visiting The Spire, you can explore the surrounding wilderness that is rich in natural beauty and history. Check out the Hanksville-Burpee Dinosaur Quarry, where you can see real dinosaur bones still embedded in the rock. For the more adventurous, the nearby Goblin Valley State Park offers unique and bizarrely shaped hoodoos, which are formations of mushroom-shaped rock pinnacles, that are a sight to behold.
