Book accommodations in advance, preferably near the park entrance. 2. Pack suitable clothing for changing temperatures and unpredictable weather conditions throughout the day. 3. Bring plenty of snacks, water, and sunscreen. 4. Make sure you’re aware of any safety rules or regulations associated with visiting the park such as no fishing or swimming in certain areas, leaving food out for wildlife, etc… 5 .If you intend on doing some hiking or biking around Capitol Reef National Park be sure that you understand which trails are open/closed so that you don’t get yourself into a potentially dangerous situation!

Capitol Reef is really an underrated National Park, a little bit further from the interstate but the reward is worth driving the hour. You get to see Arches, huge landscapes, fewer people around and bits of greens in the middle of everything, Got to visit during winter which added the white snow on the red rocks and was really magical.
