New River Gorge is a stunning natural landmark located in Glen Jean, United States. The gorge spans a spectacular 3,000 feet across and 800 feet deep, creating an awe-inspiring landscape with breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Its grandeur has been recognized by the National Park Service, which designated New River Gorge as a National Park in 2020.
Visitors to the park can experience its impressive beauty firsthand by exploring its hiking trails or taking part in activities such as ziplining, rappelling or kayaking. The park is open 24 hour a day, year round. Park Headquarters in Glen Jean is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The park’s two main visitor centers at Canyon Rim and Sandstone are open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day)
