Visit Maldonado Department


The Maldonado Department of Uruguay is a coastal province located in the south-east of the country. It is known for its beautiful beaches - most notably, Punta del Este, a bustling resort town that attracts tourists from all around the world. In addition to its stunning seascape, Maldonado also boasts some historical attractions such as Fort San Miguel and the old colonial churches at La Coronilla.

One of the best spots to visit in Maldonado is Casapueblo, an architectural masterpiece built by artist Carlos Paez Vilaro. This picturesque village overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and contains several hotels and restaurants as well as galleries showcasing Vilaro's work.
