The Xorazm Region of Uzbekistan is a fascinating destination full of cultural and historic attractions. Located in the northwest corner of the country, the region is home to some of Uzbekistan's most renowned ancient historic sites. Tourists can visit Afrosiyob, an ancient fortress walled city founded by Alexander the Great, as well as Payariq, an archaeological site featuring incredible ruins from more than 3,000 years ago.

Xorazm also offers plenty to do for nature-lovers. The Amudarya Delta Nature Reserve provides a unique way to experience bird watching and exploring wetlands habitats. As part of its rich culture and history, Xorazm hosts breathtaking architectures such as Kalta Minor Tower - one of Central Asia's most recognizable landmarks - built in 1851 by Muhammad Amin Khan II.

History buffs will enjoy learning about Khwarezm Empire which flourished around 500 Bc but was destroyed by Genghis Khan in 1220 AD; a remarkable example that dates back from this period is Shahryar Ark - an impressive palace situated on top a hill overlooking the city below it! Lastly, art-enthusiasts should not miss visiting Nukus Museum which houses one of world's largest collections of Russian avant garde works .
