Visit Amazonas

The Amazonas of Venezuela is one of the most captivating places on Earth. Comprised of dense rainforest and winding rivers, it's an ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. It's home to diverse wildlife, exotic plants, and stunning views. Popular tourist attractions include Angel Falls, the world's tallest uninterrupted waterfall; Canaima National Park which features amazing rock formations; and La Esmeralda National Park with its spectacular beaches.

There is plenty of history in the Amazon as well. The indigenous Pemon people have lived in this region for centuries and continue to play an active role in preserving its rich cultural heritage. The Warao people are also known for their unique handicrafts such as traditional dugout canoes that they use to navigate the region's many waterways. Visitors can learn more about these ancient cultures at numerous museums throughout Amazonas such as Casa de la Cultura Warao or Museum of Indigenous Art & Culture Foundations in Puerto Ayacucho City.
