Visit Distrito Capital

The Distrito Capital of Venezuela is the capital city of Caracas, and it's the largest urban centre in the country. It's a hub for cultural activities, with many museums and monuments to explore. Tourists can take a stroll around Plaza Bolivar, an important landmark that commemorates South American liberator Simon Bolivar with its bronze statue, or visit the Museum of Contemporary Art inside a colonial-style building from 1872. The National Pantheon is also noteworthy for its impressive architectural design and collection of Venezuelan historical figures.

For outdoor activities, visitors can take a cable car up El Avila mountain for stunning views of Caracas and beyond. Nature lovers can explore one of the nearby national parks such as Warairarepano National Park or El Guache National Park where they'll find mesmerizing waterfalls, lush vegetation, and diverse wildlife species.

Finally, an interesting historical fact: On April 19th 1810 Venezuela declared its independence from Spain; this day is now celebrated throughout the country as Day Of The Youth Hero (Dia del Heroe de la Juventud).
