Visit Falcón


Venezuela's Falcon state is located in the western region of the country, on the Caribbean coast. It has a varied landscape, with beaches and lagoons on the coast, flat plains to the south and hills to the north. The capital city is Coro, which was founded in 1527 and is one of Venezuela's oldest cities. It is also home to Parque Nacional Medanos de Coro, an expansive sand dune system that stretches along parts of its coastline.

For tourists visiting Falcon state there are several attractions including Morrocoy National Park for visitors looking for pristine beaches or fishing villages like Chichiriviche de la Costa where you can explore by boat. Throughout Falcon there are also ancient fortifications like La Vela de Coro where you can learn about Spanish conquistadors during colonial times as well as visit historic landmarks such as Nuestra Senora del Pilar Church from 1595 which still stands today.
