Visit Đồng Tháp

Dong Thap is a province located in the Mekong Delta region of southern Vietnam. The town of Cao Lanh is the capital, and the Song Hau Canal runs through it. It's an agricultural region known for its rice production, and also for its scenic views.

For tourists visiting Dong Thap, popular attractions include My Khanh National Park and Bau Truc Temple. At My Khanh National Park visitors can view tropical rainforests as well as local animals such as gibbons, macaques, pythons and cobras. Bau Truc Temple is a historical pagoda that dates back to 1515 AD. During festivals such as Tet people come to worship at this temple for good luck in the new year.

An interesting historical fact about Dong Thap is that it was part of Cambodia until 1867 when France occupied it and later gave it to Vietnam in 1949 after their victory against Japan in World War II.
