Visit Hải Dương


Hai Duong is a coastal province located in the north of Vietnam. Home to a wide variety of landscapes and attractions, this area has something for everyone. The main city, Hai Duong City, is located on the banks of the Red River Delta and has ancient pagodas, busy markets and bustling nightlife.

Outdoor activities are also abundant in Hai Duong with forests, waterfalls and beaches all accessible from the city center. Popular tourist spots include Cat Ba Island National Park where visitors can explore its rolling green hills that overlook the sparkling South China Sea. Another must-see sight is Thien An Monastery which dates back to 1641 when it was built by King Le Thi Tong as a memorial for his mother's death.

History buffs should make sure to visit Chi Linh Town where archaeologists have unearthed tombs believed to date back thousands of years to pre-Vietnamese times. Visitors will find valuable artifacts that provide insight into ancient civilizations that once existed here such as Chau Doc culture (3000-2000 BCE).
