Visit Lai Châu


Lai Chau is a border province, located in the Northwest region of Vietnam. It is mostly mountainous with many diverse ethnic minorities living there. The province has an attractive cultural and natural landscape, with many places that are worth visiting.

The Thac Ba Lake is one of the most beautiful places in Lai Chau, surrounded by stunning mountains and forested hills. Tourists can also explore the Mac Mon Cave, which is said to be a channel to heaven due to its picturesque beauty.

In terms of history, Lai Chau was once part of China for almost 500 years until it became part of Vietnam in 1885. During this time period it was known as "Chiang Tung" and served as an important trading center between China and Vietnam. Today visitors can still find evidence of this rich history at various sites throughout the province such as ancient temples and ruins.
