Visit Nam Định


Nam Dinh is a province in Vietnam, located in the Red River Delta. It is known for its textiles, seafood and traditional folk music. Nam Dinh city was established as the capital of the Nguyen dynasty in 1782.

The province boasts beautiful scenery and many historical sights to explore. The Phu Day Tower, built around 1000 AD, is one of the oldest towers of its kind in Vietnam and an important archaeological site. The Xa Tac Citadel is a 16th century fortress that also attracts visitors' attention with its unique architecture.

Visitors can enjoy shopping at colorful local markets such as Binh Minh Market or taking part in fishing activities such as squid fishing from a traditional boat on Ngang Pass beach. There are also scenic beaches near Nam Dinh city like Dai An Beach which offers amazing views of emerald waters and white sand dunes creating beautiful landscapes for travelers to explore.

Nam Dinh has deep links with famous historical figures such as Ho Chi Minh - who was born just over 50km away from the city - and Trinh Sam, Nguyen's warlord who led several successful battles against Chinese invaders during his reign lasting from 1545-1583AD!
