Thua Thien-Hue is a province located in central Vietnam. It is famous for its ancient capital city, also named Hue, which was the former imperial capital of the Nguyen Dynasty. This city is home to beautiful architecture and many historical sites that attract tourists from all over the world.

A must-see attraction in this region includes The Imperial Citadel of Hue, with its Forbidden Purple City and imposing fortress walls. Inside the Citadel are Hue Royal Antiques Museum and other interesting historical artifacts from past dynasties. Another famous landmark in Hue is Thien Mu Pagoda, which sits atop a hill overlooking Perfume River and offers stunning views of the surrounding area.

An interesting fact about Thua Thien-Hue is that it was once an independent kingdom known as Nam Viet during most of the 1st century AD before becoming part of Chinese Han Dynasty at later dates.
