Discover Sanaa

Sanaa is the capital city of the Republic of Yemen. It is located in a mountain valley at an elevation of 7,380 feet above sea level and is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. The city has a fascinating blend of modern and ancient architecture, with ornate buildings from its days as a medieval trading hub still standing to this day.

Visitors to Sanaa can explore its cobblestone streets, lined with mud-brick homes, colorful bazaars, mosques and museums. One must-see attraction is Bab al Yemen, a bustling market that has been around for centuries. Another popular destination for sightseeing is Al Saleh Mosque - one of the largest in Yemen - with its five minarets soaring above the city skyline. A visit to Souk al Milh (Salt Market) will provide an insight into Sanaa's vibrant street life where you'll find everything from spices to traditional clothing and handicrafts on sale.

Finally, no trip to Sanaa would be complete without sampling some traditional Yemeni cuisine like spicy stews or kabsah rice dishes washed down with sweet tea or coffee - it's truly an unforgettable experience!
