Visit Masvingo Province
The Masvingo Province in Zimbabwe, also known as "the city of stones", is a place filled with ancient ruins and archaeological sites. The Great Zimbabwe Ruins, a World Heritage Site, is located here and attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world each year. It's one of the most important historical landmarks in southern Africa, built by an African civilization between the 11th - 15th centuries CE.
Other places to explore include the Bumbusi National Monument which contains three Iron Age culture sites that were once occupied by ancestors of present-day Shona people; and Lake Kyle Recreational Park where you can go fishing or just relax on its beautiful shoreline.
In addition to its abundant tourist attractions, Masvingo Province also has an interesting history worth exploring. Some say that it's home to some ancient artifacts left behind by King Solomon's Mines explorers during their travels across Africa in 1871!
