Visit Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz is an Argentine province located in the center of Patagonia, sharing its boundaries with Chile. It is one of the most sparsely populated provinces and has a great diversity in landscapes ranging from glaciers to rainforests. Tourists often come for ecotourism activities such as exploring Los Glaciares National Park, which contains some of the world's largest glaciers. In addition, visitors can go whale-watching in Puerto Piramides or take a boat ride across Lago Argentino during sunset and enjoy spectacular views on their way.

Santa Cruz was actually part of the old Patagonian territory known as "Tehuelche" that belonged to native tribes until 1881 when it became part of Argentina after a peace treaty with Chile was signed here. Today, you can still find mounds and ruins made by these ancient people if you visit Valle Hermoso or Bahia Bustamante.
