Guilin is a city located in southern China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is renowned for its dramatic and beautiful landscapes, featuring lush green mountains, winding rivers and karst limestone formations. The area has been referred to as "the finest scenery under heaven" by Chinese poets since the Tang Dynasty (618-907).

One of the main attractions in Guilin is a cruise down the Li River, which flows from Guilin to Yangshuo. Here visitors can admire traditional villages, terraced hillsides and breathtaking karsts along the way. Another popular destination is Reed Flute Cave, which features rock formations illuminated by artificial lighting for an impressive effect. In addition to its stunning landscapes, Guilin also has bustling night markets where visitors can sample local snacks like dumplings or fried rice and browse through souvenirs such as embroidery artwork or handmade jewelry pieces.
